The article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of assessing the impact of financial risks on enterprise economic security within the corporate governance system. The necessity of integrating risk management, strategic management and corporate control mechanisms to ensure the timely identification and neutralization of financial threats is substantiated. The relationship between financial risks, financial stability and enterprise economic security is determined. Modern approaches to risk identification and assessment are generalized, including the provisions of ISO 31000:2018 and the COSO Enterprise Risk Management framework. A sequence for assessing the impact of financial risks on enterprise economic security is proposed, including environmental monitoring, identification of financial risks, assessment of their impact, identification of critical areas, corporate management decision-making, implementation of response measures, control of results, and adjustment of management measures. The expediency of using a system of financial indicators to determine the level of risk impact and ensure timely management decisions is substantiated. It is proved that integrating financial risk assessment into the corporate governance system contributes to improving financial stability, adaptability and long-term economic security of the enterprise.
