Abstract

The article is devoted to developing measures to ensure social responsibility in the context of strategic enterprise management under the conditions of Ukraine’s post-war development. The relevance of the research topic is evident in the fact that, under contemporary conditions, social responsibility has gradually moved beyond corporate philanthropy, reputation-building activities, and individual social projects, becoming an important factor in an enterprise’s strategic viability and long-term competitiveness. The study aims to analyze, systematize, and improve the theoretical and methodological foundations for integrating the principles of social responsibility into the strategic management system of enterprises in the context of Ukraine’s post-war development.

To achieve this objective, the article examines the evolution of scholarly approaches to corporate social responsibility, including the stakeholder approach, the concept of corporate social responsibility, the triple bottom line concept, and the concept of creating shared value. Based on the systematization of these approaches, the authors’ definition of socially responsible strategic management is substantiated as a system of long-term formulation and implementation of managerial decisions within which economic objectives are aligned with the interests of key stakeholders, the social needs of society, environmental constraints, and post-war recovery priorities, while the results are assessed according to economic, social, environmental, and governance criteria. On this basis, an architecture of the socially responsible strategic management system of an enterprise is developed, encompassing strategic diagnostics, stakeholder identification, determination of strategic priorities, integration of social responsibility into functional strategies, resource provision, implementation of relevant managerial decisions, performance assessment, and adaptive adjustment of the strategy.

To ensure the effective functioning of the socially responsible strategic management system, a system of principles adapted to the Ukrainian context is substantiated. These principles include strategic integration, human-centredness, stakeholder balance, economic viability, creation of additional social value, inclusiveness, recovery orientation, transparency and accountability, measurability and effectiveness, long-term orientation, partnership, and adaptability. The approaches substantiated in the study provide a theoretical and methodological basis for further development of a system of indicators for assessing the level of socially responsible strategic management and a methodology for selecting strategic alternatives that account for economic, social, environmental, and recovery priorities.
