Abstract

The article investigates and systematizes the theoretical and methodological principles, qualitative characteristics, and formats for adapting and ensuring the resilience of Ukraine's national economy under conditions of a full-scale military conflict and a high level of external and internal uncertainty. It is substantiated that the consequences of the war are unprecedented and destructive, and the process of post-war recovery requires a comprehensive rethinking of systemic management mechanisms at all levels of the economy. The main theoretical and methodological approaches to studying the impact of military conflicts on socio-economic systems (Keynesian, neoclassical, institutional, political and economic, conflict economy model, structural and transformational, and economic sustainability approach) are systematized. The essence of the definitions of "adaptation" and "adaptivity" of the macroeconomic system is revealed. The author's vision of the key qualitative characteristics of the economy's adaptation to large-scale shocks is proposed (dynamism, flexibility, variability, stability, systematicity, complexity, elasticity, resource relocatability, institutional compliance, innovation, proactivity, and resilience). It is well established that resilience is a fundamental property of the system that enables the absorption of shock consequences and strategic recovery in line with the principle of "Build Back Better". Modern forms and methods of adapting the national economy to security and economic challenges are analyzed, in particular assimilation, accommodation, reform and restructuring, spatial relocation of production capacities, preservation and stagnation. It is proven that successful adaptive transformation is the basis for maintaining macroeconomic stability, preserving export potential, and restoring Ukraine's subjectivity in the global economic space.
