Abstract

The article examines the problem of information asymmetry in Ukraine's transport and logistics sector amid accelerated digitalization and wartime economic turbulence. The purpose of the study is to substantiate innovative approaches to overcoming informational imbalances and to determine strategic directions for the digital modernization of the industry. The research methodology is based on systemic analysis, comparative assessment, generalization, and structural modeling. The study identifies significant digital disparities between leading logistics operators and most enterprises, particularly small and medium-sized businesses and state-owned companies. Such disparities are manifested in unequal access to digital technologies, fragmented information flows, insufficient integration of business processes, and limited use of advanced IT solutions. As a result, transaction costs rise, operational transparency declines, and the overall efficiency of logistics chains falls. Key barriers to digital transformation include regulatory misalignment with EU standards, limited investment capacity, insufficient digital competencies of personnel, technological backwardness, and infrastructure destruction caused by military aggression. The paper substantiates that overcoming information asymmetry requires a comprehensive approach that integrates blockchain technologies, intelligent transport systems, digital logistics platforms, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and electronic document management. The state's strategic role is emphasized in harmonizing legislation, stimulating investment, supporting SMEs, and developing national digital logistics platforms. The practical significance of the research lies in the potential to apply the proposed innovative vectors to enhance competitiveness, reduce information gaps, and ensure Ukraine's sustainable integration into the European transport space.
