The article examines the issues of enterprise economic security management, which are particularly relevant for Ukraine given the instability of the external environment and the increasing impact of crisis factors. Special attention is paid to the need for developing effective mechanisms to protect enterprises from financial, market, and institutional threats. The aim of the article is to identify the priorities and mechanisms for ensuring enterprise economic security under conditions of transformation in the external business environment. Based on the analysis of fundamental theoretical and methodological principles of the terminological framework in security management, provisions for transformation in the enterprise economic security management system have been developed depending on the nature and degree of aggressiveness of the external environment. The article identifies policy priorities, mechanisms/instruments of provision, as well as objects/components of economic security according to different types of environments: a healthy market economy with a transparent competitive environment, a transitional economy with signs of market monopolization and administrative pressure on business, and critically high socio-economic instability caused by full-scale war. It is demonstrated that both the business environment and the enterprise economic security management system are subject to inherent transformations, both internal (primarily related to the stages of the enterprise life cycle during business growth) and external (periods of macroeconomic stabilization, institutional imperfections, shocks, crises, etc.).
