PRIORITIES AND TOOLS OF STATE POLICY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIVITY IN THE WOODWORKING INDUSTRY OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The article examines the current state and prospects for the development of entrepreneurial activity in the woodworking industry of Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the priorities and determine the toolkit of state policy for the development of entrepreneurial activity in Ukraine’s woodworking industry. Positive trends in the industry are analyzed, indicating its significant contribution to the national economy, including the growth of timber and lumber production, expansion of product exports, increased regional employment, as well as the implementation of innovative technologies and modernization of production capacities. Key problems and obstacles that hinder the activation of entrepreneurial activity have been identified, including insufficient financing, limited access to investment, logistical difficulties, high export risks, and a shortage of qualified personnel. The priorities of state policy aimed at stimulating the development of the industry are substantiated, among which are increasing investment attractiveness, modernizing production, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, developing export potential, and promoting innovation. A set of tools for implementing these priorities is proposed, including grants and subsidies, preferential lending, cluster development, training programs, digitalization of production processes, and support for research and development projects. The implementation of the proposed measures will ensure the sustainable development of the woodworking industry, increase its competitiveness, create new jobs, and integrate the sector into global value chains.
