ECONOMIC MECHANISM FOR STIMULATING SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF THE POLICY OF INHIBITING MIGRATION PROCESSES AND STRENGTHENING THE ECONOMIC SECURITY OF THE REGION

Abstract

The article focuses on the issues of forming and implementing regional policy for the development of small businesses as a significant factor influencing a number of fundamental processes of guaranteeing the stability of the socio-economic system of the region. It is shown that an effective regional policy of supporting small business entities can significantly activate the development processes of this sector of the regional socio-economic system. In turn, the quality of life of the population depends on this, and, therefore, preserving human potential in the critically difficult conditions of war and the socio-economic instability caused by it, overcoming the depression of rural and remote areas of the region, curbing the migration activity of the population. On the other hand, small business also makes a significant contribution to strengthening the economic security of the regional economy, after all, it forms a significant share of GRP (macroeconomic component of security), generates innovative activity (innovative component), provides employment for the population (social security), ensures tax revenues to local budgets (financial security), contributes to increasing export potential (foreign economic security), etc. On these principles, the purpose of the study is to substantiate the instruments and means of regional economic policy to stimulate the development of small businesses in the system of policies to inhibit migration processes and strengthen the economic security of the regional economy.

The scientific novelty of the research results lies in the identification of methodological and applied connections between the formation and implementation of regional policy in the field of stimulating the development of small businesses, curbing migration processes, and strengthening the economic security of the regional economic system. The applied significance of the research results lies in substantiating recommendations for regional and local authorities, the implementation of which can strengthen the socio-economic sustainability, stability and viability of the socio-economic system of the region.
