EVALUATION OF THE EFFICIENCY OF DIGITALIZATION IN TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS BUSINESS: METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES

Abstract

The article explores issues related to the formation of methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of digitalization in the transport and logistics business. It is noted that digitalization is not just the introduction of digital technologies, but an integrated process that requires scientific understanding and constant improvement of assessment tools for maximum efficiency and sustainable development of the transport and logistics industry. The article emphasizes the importance of digital maturity for transport and logistics companies in the digital economy; considers various models for assessing the level of digital maturity of enterprises, which are developed by well-known consulting companies. The study emphasizes the lack of a universal concept for assessing the effectiveness of digitalization in the transport and logistics business. In the context of digital transformation, it is recommended to update the methods for assessing the degree of readiness of enterprises to implement digital technologies and propose digital methods for measuring the digital economy; to investigate the effectiveness of transport and logistics structures in the industry; to consider the impact of the level of digital maturity on maintaining the ability of companies to compete in difficult periods and achieve leadership; to develop a strategy for digital progress for the future. The article emphasizes that the digitalization of the transport and logistics business depends on the integration of digital maturity assessment methods into the continuous process of competitive struggle. The use of digital tools in transport and logistics companies contributes to solving problems, but requires a well-established analytical system, effective management and active participation of personnel in transformational changes.
