DEVELOPMENT OF THE UKRAINIAN EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC SPACE AS A SOURCE OF INTELLECTUAL POTENTIAL: INNOVATIVE APPROACHES AND EUROPEAN EXPERIENCE

Abstract

The internationalization of higher education is an important component of Ukraine's development strategy aimed at European integration, deepening international cooperation, increasing the competitiveness of universities, and developing and integrating the country's intellectual potential into the global educational space. The article examines the role of Ukrainian higher education institutions in shaping the nation's intellectual potential in the context of modern globalization processes.

The functional areas of activity of higher education institutions are analyzed - educational, scientific, innovative, social, and international. Special attention is paid to the impact of European integration processes, digitalization of the educational environment, development of startup culture, and academic mobility. The key challenges facing the Ukrainian higher education system are highlighted, and promising areas for its modernization are outlined. It is substantiated that universities in the context of globalization act as drivers of social development, platforms for innovation, and the formation of highly qualified human capital. It is summarized that increasing the prestige of scientific activity and effective management of changes in the higher education system is possible through the introduction of scholarship programs for young researchers, the creation of international schools, the organization of scientific exchanges and support for startups and innovations. The development of public-private partnerships through the integration of business into the learning process, the creation of a dual education program, and customers from companies is also promising.
