The relationship between the quality and effectiveness of vocational education and the development of the regional labor market is analyzed, which determines the level of training of qualified skilled workers capable of meeting the needs of the economy. The multifunctional role of the vocational education system is demonstrated, which not only reproduces labor potential but also contributes to the structural balancing of labor supply and demand, integration of education with production through dual education, modernization of technological processes, and enhancement of the prestige of skilled professions.
Two blocks of regulation of the vocational education system are identified: the administrative-legal block, which provides the regulatory framework, organization, financing, and management of the education system; and the functional-economic block, based on indirect mechanisms of influence through the labor market, employers, and other social institutions. Special attention is paid to the role of proactive (distribution, stimulation, regulation) and passive (mediation, rehabilitation, information) functions of regional policy, which ensure the adaptation of the vocational education system to changes in the socio-economic environment. It is emphasized that a comprehensive approach to regulation, combining direct and indirect mechanisms, is key to improving the quality and accessibility of vocational education, developing human capital, and ensuring sustainable regional development in crisis conditions. The necessity of continuous labor market monitoring and coordination of actions among authorities, educational institutions, and businesses is highlighted for the formation of effective educational policy and enhancing the competitiveness of regions.
Ivan PYKUS Copyright (c) 2025 Іван ПИКУС https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/627 Thu, 28 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0300 MODERN MODELS OF STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF THE COMPETITIVENESS OF RETAIL NETWORKS https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/628
The article is devoted to the study of the problem of managing the competitiveness of retail chains in the context of strategic management, including SWOT analysis, PESTEL, Porter's Five Forces model, and other tools. The authors argue that systems thinking is essential for organizational effectiveness under conditions of dynamic environmental change, global turbulence, and continuous uncertainty. Time management is examined not merely as a tool for improving individual productivity but as a structural mechanism for enhancing organizational discipline, ensuring the optimal allocation of human, financial, and material resources, and creating stability at the strategic level. Crisis management is analyzed as a proactive component of strategic development that enables early detection of potential risks, the design of alternative scenarios, and the formulation of flexible responses to external shocks. In this context, the ability of managers to implement scenario-based planning becomes critical for sustaining competitiveness and minimizing losses during periods of instability. Special attention is devoted to the role of leadership, which is considered the driving force in shaping organizational culture, stimulating innovation, and mobilizing teams toward achieving shared objectives under uncertain conditions. Leadership is framed not only as a source of authority but as a catalyst for participatory decision-making, trust building, and employee engagement. The study also proposes a conceptual model for integrating these management tools into a single adaptive management system, capable of balancing stability and change. The findings highlight the relevance of an integrated approach as a foundation for improving organizational flexibility, resilience, and innovative capacity. Energy consumption in healthcare institutions is shaped by a complex interaction of organizational, technological, and resource-related determinants, including electricity, heat, gas, and water consumption; the efficiency of medical equipment; the quality of thermal insulation of buildings and networks; the level of personnel training in energy efficiency; the age of facilities; and the use of renewable energy sources. Based on expert surveys, ten core factors were identified as the most significant drivers of energy consumption. These factors were normalized and incorporated into a multiple regression model constructed with real monitoring data over a 100-month observation period. The model integrates quantitative and qualitative indicators, ensuring comparability across heterogeneous variables through min–max normalization. Regression coefficients were estimated using the least squares method, and model adequacy was validated by calculating determination coefficients and analyzing residual distributions. The findings reveal that heat consumption, water use, and the efficiency of medical and climatic equipment exert the strongest impact on energy demand. The constructed model demonstrates high reliability in forecasting energy consumption, with deviations mainly occurring under peak-load conditions, which are challenging to capture using linear approaches. Nevertheless, the model provides practical value for decision-making in energy management by allowing managers to estimate the effects of optimizing specific factors or assess potential risks of energy inefficiency. The amount of digital information doubles every year, and its main sources are mobile devices, IoT sensors, online transactions, social networks and digital platforms. This explosion of data creates unique opportunities for companies, as information is transformed into a strategic resource capable of providing long-term competitive advantages. Data is no longer just a “raw material” for statistical reports, but a fundamental asset that determines business development. Using data allows you to forecast demand, manage pricing, optimize marketing campaigns and personalize offers for customers. The logic of competition is changing: the advantage is gained by the company that works more effectively with information, and not only by the one that has large resources or innovative products. An example of effective analytics is Amazon, which uses algorithms to track the behavior of millions of users in real time, form personalized recommendations, dynamic pricing and forecast trends, which ensures customer retention and loyalty. Netflix demonstrates the use of predictive analytics to create its own content based on user viewing and preferences data. This allows the company to minimize risks when launching new products and personalize offers in accordance with real audience requests. Modern business is moving from reactive customer service to proactive, anticipating needs and offering solutions in advance. Analysis of behavioral data, purchase history and product usage patterns increases customer satisfaction and loyalty. Predictive analytics allows companies to timely prevent customer churn, personalize offers and optimize prices. Data and analytics bring results only if they are integrated into management decisions. The key role is played by organizational culture, which turns analytics from a technological tool into a routine practice for daily decision-making. Successful companies use extensive optimization and modeling, centralized coordination of analytics at the organization level and active support from top management, which allows avoiding data duplication and ensuring the effectiveness of management decisions.
Mariia TEPLIUK, Viktor MIETOLKIN, Oleksandr ORLOVSKYI Copyright (c) 2025 Марія ТЕПЛЮК, Віктор МЄТЬОЛКІН https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/641 Thu, 28 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0300 FEATURES OF LEGAL SUPPORT FOR FINANCING INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/642
The article examines the legal aspects of financing innovative development. It is determined that in Ukraine, as a result of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, negative crisis phenomena are observed, associated with the destruction of industrial and infrastructure facilities, the transfer of entrepreneurial activity abroad, etc. It is proven that an important direction for the reconstruction and restoration of the domestic economy is the focus on modern innovative technologies in all areas of activity: ensuring scientific and technical changes in basic areas of activity; introducing modern automated management systems in business structures; promoting the technical and technological re-equipment of production processes; ensuring the improvement of product promotion and sales processes in sales markets, etc. It has been determined that the activation of innovative approaches is also important in promising areas of development of the domestic economy, including the military-industrial sphere. The main legislative acts of Ukraine regulating the financing of innovative development in Ukraine have been considered. The areas of regulation in these acts of financing innovative activities have been studied. An analysis of the volume of financing for innovative activities of industrial enterprises in Ukraine in recent years has been carried out. It has been determined that despite the positive trend towards an increase in funding, only a small proportion of industrial enterprises in Ukraine participate in the implementation of innovative projects. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing need to improve managerial communication in the context of a dynamic production environment, where the quality of interpersonal interaction directly influences project outcomes, customer loyalty, and staff motivation. The study analyzes contemporary scientific sources that highlight the role of rapport as a technique for building trust, emotional connection, and alignment in managerial practice. Particular attention is paid to neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) as a methodological foundation for developing the communicative competence of managers. The key NLP rapport techniques – mirroring, calibration, pacing, and reframing – have been identified, along with their adaptation to the specifics of the publishing and printing sector. It is noted that in the professional activity of a manager in a publishing and printing company, communicative NLP rapport can be effectively applied in a number of typical situations. For example, during the coordination of a technical layout with a designer, when it is important to quickly establish emotional contact and avoid conflicts. In communication with a dissatisfied client, rapport enables the reduction of tension and redirects the dialogue into a constructive channel. During coordination between the printing department and the editorial office, rapport techniques facilitate the precise transmission of instructions and reduce the number of revisions. In internal meetings, rapport helps the manager create an atmosphere of trust, which enhances motivation and team engagement. The article proposes an original model for implementing communicative NLP rapport, which includes staff training stages, the development of internal checklists, the use of a communication effectiveness assessment matrix, and regular coaching sessions. Economic efficiency modelling of the methodology implementation has been carried out, demonstrating a reduction in losses due to communication errors, shorter order coordination times, increased repeat client requests, and improved emotional climate within the team. The results of the study confirm the feasibility of integrating communicative NLP rapport into the system of professional training for managers, as well as into internal standards of personnel management and customer service. The proposed methodology can be adapted to other sectors of small business where interpersonal communication is a critical success factor. The article has practical value for executives, HR specialists, business trainers, and scholars who explore the humanistic aspects of management.
Alona MAKATORA, Dmytro MAKATORA, Ruslan KUBANOV Copyright (c) 2025 Альона МАКАТЬОРА, Дмитро МАКАТЬОРА, Руслан КУБАНОВ https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/644 Thu, 28 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0300 THE ROLE OF DUSINESS PROCESS MODELING IN RISK MANAGEMENT https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/650
The article explores the role of business process modeling as a tool for risk management in the context of digital transformation of organizations. Such enterprises act not only as drivers of innovation but also as sources of new employment, modernization of traditional industries, and integration into global innovation systems. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of methodological approaches to financing high-tech enterprises and proposes a classification that includes five main groups: self-financing, debt financing, investment-innovation financing, state and institutional financing, and hybrid (mixed) approaches. Special attention is given to the challenges faced in wartime, when state financing priorities shift and investors adopt a cautious position due to high risks and the long-term nature of projects. Despite these constraints, support for high-tech enterprises is highlighted as a strategic tool for economic recovery and strengthening Ukraine’s competitiveness in international markets.

The research is based on Ukrainian and international regulatory documents (laws, state programs, grant and credit initiatives), scholarly works of domestic and foreign authors, as well as statistical and analytical data from institutions such as UVCA, EBRD, and IFC. This article focuses on researching the mechanisms and practices of integrating ESG risks into the corporate lending process. It provides a detailed explanation of the nature, structure, and classification of ESG risks, emphasising their multidimensional impact on credit quality, borrowers’ reliability, banks’ reputational standing, and overall resilience of the financial sector. Particular attention is paid to the way ESG-related factors increase the probability of defaults, impair the value of collateral, and shape long-term portfolio sustainability. The paper examines the role of international frameworks and standards, such as the Equator Principles, the EU Taxonomy for Sustainable Activities, the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and other global “green” initiatives, which serve as benchmarks for domestic adaptation and the development of bank-specific ESG policies. Modern instruments of ESG risk assessment and mitigation are analysed, including borrower ESG scoring systems, sustainable loan classification models, continuous monitoring of clients’ ESG profiles, the introduction of ESG-linked covenants into loan agreements, and the determination of institutional ESG risk appetite. Furthermore, the article identifies key challenges, such as insufficient and fragmented data, the absence of unified international or national standards, low levels of transparency and reporting among corporate borrowers, and the additional costs of compliance. At the same time, promising prospects are outlined: harmonisation of Ukrainian legislation with European directives, the establishment of a national ESG scoring methodology, the stimulation of sustainable lending practices, and the creation of incentives for businesses to improve their ESG performance. The study concludes that the systematic and consistent integration of ESG considerations into corporate lending is not only essential for ensuring financial stability and effective risk management, but also constitutes a strategic source of competitive advantage for Ukrainian banks in the global financial arena.
Iryna KRASNOVA, Ruslan LESHCHENKO Copyright (c) 2025 Ірина КРАСНОВА, Руслан ЛЕЩЕНКО https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/651 Thu, 28 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0300 FEATURES OF MARKETING MANAGEMENT OF RAILWAY TRANSPORT DEVELOPMENT IN A COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/652
Under wartime conditions, railway transport in Ukraine has become the backbone of the national transport system, ensuring the delivery of critically important cargo, humanitarian missions, and defense-related needs. The suspension of air and maritime transport has reshaped the competitive environment, significantly strengthening the role of railway infrastructure. At the same time, integration into the European transport space, digitalization, and growing customer expectations require the reconsideration of management approaches, where marketing gains strategic importance. The main challenge lies in the insufficient level of customer orientation, the limited use of marketing tools, and uneven digital transformation. This creates a contradiction between the growing role of railway transport and its inadequate marketing adaptation. The aim of the study is to substantiate the theoretical foundations and identify the specific features of marketing management in the development of Ukraine’s railway transport under competitive conditions. The research is based on the analysis of scientific publications by both foreign and domestic scholars, which emphasize the importance of marketing research, innovative approaches, and the formation of a client-oriented management model. Marketing management is proposed to be considered as an integrated system that combines analytical, strategic, innovative-digital, and socio-communicative components. Their interaction makes it possible to build competitive advantages, adapt services to new challenges, and promote the integration of Ukrainian railway transport into the European transport space. The key problem here is coordinating the interests of various stakeholder groups, as inconsistencies between them lead to corporate conflicts and a decline in economic security. This underscores the need for organizational modeling of stakeholder interaction to support sustainable process development. The article proposes an ontological model of stakeholder interaction in information-technology projects designed to ensure a target level of economic security for corporate business-process development under uncertainty. The approach rests on the hypothesis of causal linkages among corporate oversight, project management, and business-process evolution, constituting a complex adaptive system. The model uses the Design & Engineering Methodology for Organizations (DEMO), which formalizes organizational interaction by identifying production and communication acts. We extend DEMO by imposing resilience compliance at the transaction level, cascading to every interaction act. The result is an integrated organizational-analytical stakeholder interaction model that strengthens corporate operations' strategic continuity. Unlike approaches that treat economic security and information and technology projects as separate domains, the model unifies them within a single ontological structure. It is substantiated that the quality and effectiveness of financial management largely determine the ability of enterprises to ensure solvency, retain financial stability, and enhance investment attractiveness, while simultaneously building strategic resilience to external shocks. The research emphasizes that in the 21st-century business environment, financial management is no longer limited to cost optimization or operational control but emerges as a multidimensional system that integrates long-term planning, risk mitigation, value creation, and stakeholder engagement.

The main objective of the study is to justify the integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles into financial management as a tool to strengthen both efficiency and sustainability of entrepreneurial structures at the national level. Financial management is conceptualized as a comprehensive mechanism for managing financial flows, encompassing investment strategy, innovation financing, and responsible resource allocation. Through the analysis of financial dynamics of leading Ukrainian agricultural holdings (MHP, Kernel, Astarta) and IT service exports over 2014–2024, the study identifies three key priorities of strategic financial management: fostering long-term investments, ensuring crisis resilience, and enhancing transparency through ESG-oriented communication.

It is demonstrated that embedding ESG criteria into corporate financial strategies significantly improves investment attractiveness, reduces exposure to risks, and provides companies with durable competitive advantages in the global marketplace. Particular attention is given to the Ukrainian context, where the acceleration of ESG implementation is driven by adaptation to European sustainability reporting standards, compliance with international investor requirements, and the need to secure external capital flows.

The study concludes that strategic financial management should be regarded as a decisive instrument for sustainable development and competitiveness of national business structures. It also highlights the necessity for further research into methodological frameworks of ESG-oriented financial planning, which could support the transition of emerging economies toward sustainable growth models.
Olha SHCHERBINA, Serhiy OKHONKO, Maryna VIRA Copyright (c) 2025 Ольга ЩЕРБІНА, Cергій ОХОНЬКО, Марина ВІРА https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/657 Thu, 28 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0300 LAND MANAGEMENT PLANNING AS THE BASIS FOR ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE LAND USE https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/658
The article substantiates land management planning as a fundamental instrument for environmentally safe and rational land use within the paradigm of sustainable development. The agricultural sector, being the foundation of the Ukrainian economy, is significantly influenced by both external factors (global competition, climate change, and state policy) and internal ones (production efficiency, human resources, and resource base). In this context, strategic management becomes a key mechanism for ensuring the sustainable development and competitiveness of enterprises. Traditional tools of strategic analysis, such as SWOT, PEST, GAP analysis, Ansoff, and BCG matrices, remain relevant for determining the strategic guidelines of agricultural enterprises. At the same time, modern business conditions require the use of innovative approaches, particularly the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard, KPIs, benchmarking, and scenario analysis. A significant trend is the increasing digitalization of the agricultural sector, which is leading to a rise in the role of artificial intelligence, Big Data systems, and precision farming technologies in strategy development. These tools provide quick access to large amounts of data, increase the accuracy of forecasts, and contribute to cost optimization and risk reduction. It is emphasized that the combination of traditional and modern management methods enables the achievement of a synergistic effect, ensuring not only the effectiveness of current activities but also resilience to external challenges. The emphasis is placed on the need to adapt international experience to Ukrainian realities, as well as on developing an innovation-oriented approach to strategic planning in the agricultural business. The proposed review of strategic management tools identifies significant opportunities for enhancing the efficiency of agricultural enterprises. Further research in this area should focus on developing models that integrate artificial intelligence and digital technologies into the strategic management system, taking into account the specific characteristics of agricultural production in Ukraine.
Sergiy KALINICHENKO Copyright (c) 2025 Сергій КАЛІНІЧЕНКО https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/659 Thu, 28 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0300 TRANSFORMATION OF BEHAVIORAL CORPORATE FINANCE FOR THE FORMATION OF AN ORGANIZATIONAL AND ECONOMIC MECHANISM TO ENSURE TRANSPORT SERVICES FOR AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/660
The article examines the transformation of behavioral corporate finance as a methodological foundation for developing an organizational and economic mechanism to ensure transport services for agricultural producers. It is argued that the current stage of agricultural sector development in Ukraine is increasingly shaped by the role of transport infrastructure as a critical determinant of competitiveness and a key component of the agri-food value chain. Traditional models of corporate finance, primarily based on static cost parameters, fail to adequately reflect the behavioral characteristics of market participants, including their risk tolerance, cognitive biases, motivational structures, and propensity for innovation. Therefore, integrating behavioral approaches into corporate financial management is considered essential for optimizing logistics costs, enhancing the flexibility of supply chains, mitigating risks, and strengthening long-term competitive advantages. The study proposes methodological approaches to adapting behavioral finance concepts to the needs of the agricultural sector, with particular emphasis on addressing information asymmetry between producers, transport operators, and financial institutions. The research highlights the role of behavioral factors in managerial decision-making, the importance of financial incentives for reducing transaction costs, and the necessity of incorporating digital financial technologies such as smart contracts, traceability systems, and integrated monitoring platforms. The article also explores the potential for forming financial-logistics clusters that combine agricultural enterprises, transport companies, and infrastructure operators within a unified system aimed at improving efficiency and reducing risk. Empirical findings demonstrate that integrating behavioral models into corporate financial management leads to measurable improvements: transaction costs are reduced by 12–15%, trust among market participants increases by 20–25%, and the stability of producers’ access to distribution channels improves by nearly 18%. These results confirm the significant impact of behavioral finance tools on the efficiency of transport services and their role in ensuring stable market access for agricultural producers, particularly under the conditions of wartime disruptions and global uncertainty. The contribution of this study is twofold. First, it provides a theoretical framework for incorporating behavioral aspects into corporate financial decision-making in the field of agricultural logistics. Second, it provides practical guidelines for policymakers, business entities, and financial institutions to develop organizational and economic mechanisms that integrate economic, institutional, and behavioral instruments. The findings underscore the importance of aligning transport service regulation with the behavioral patterns of stakeholders, thereby promoting resilience, cost efficiency, and sustainable development in the agricultural sector.
Nataliia VDOVENKO, Оlеnа LEMISHKO, Valerii BONDARENKO Copyright (c) 2025 Наталія ВДОВЕНКО, Олена ЛЕМІШКО, Валерій БОНДАРЕНКО https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/660 Thu, 28 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0300 STRATEGIC GUIDELINES FOR IMPROVING THE SPECIALIZATION OF LIVESTOCK ENTERPRISES https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/661
The article is devoted to justifying strategic guidelines for enhancing the specialization of livestock enterprises in the face of today's challenges. Analysis of the sectoral structure of agricultural enterprises in Ukraine has revealed a steady trend towards a decrease in the share of livestock in the formation of gross agricultural output, accompanied by a simultaneous increase in the share of crop production throughout the entire period of independence. In the process of modern specialization of agricultural production, three main trends are observed: the predominance of multi-sector specialization with a concentration on one or two types of products and the development of related industries; the spread of narrow-profile production with a completed technological cycle and a high level of cooperation; as well as the introduction of a combined type of management based on a rational combination of primary, additional and auxiliary industries. Deepening specialization in agriculture, taking into account the actual size of land ownership and use, involves integrating with other industries to ensure the rational use of resources and environmental protection. It is substantiated that improving the specialization of agricultural enterprises is a key factor in their ability to adapt to modern challenges. It has been proven that rational specialization should take into account climate change, military threats, and the requirements of sustainable development, which will contribute to increasing the stability of the agricultural sector, preserving resources, and fostering long-term food security in Ukraine. When developing it, it is proposed to consider economic, organizational, production, technological, strategic, and environmental aspects. The principles of rational combination of crop production and livestock production in agricultural enterprises are generalized (complexity and closed cycle of resources, zonal compliance and ecological feasibility, resource balance, etc.). Key areas for improving the specialization of farms engaged in crop production and livestock production have been identified, ensuring the restoration and further development of livestock production in agricultural enterprises. These include: optimization of the industry structure, development of intra-farm integration, creation of feed self-sufficiency, improvement of technological interaction among industries, regional adaptation of specialization, and environmental and energy efficiency, among others. The SWOT analysis of specialization will enable livestock enterprises to identify the strategic actions necessary to strengthen their strengths, minimize weaknesses, capitalize on existing opportunities, and effectively counter threats. This is especially relevant during the period of agricultural restoration after the war and for the long-term sustainability of the livestock industry. Directions and measures have been established that will contribute to the deepening of specialization in livestock enterprises. The following are identified as the main directions: optimal ratio between types of livestock farming, depending on resource supply; creation of specialized farms taking into account zonal location; introduction of agricultural and livestock clusters with a closed production cycle; and development of their own feed base. Rational specialization requires the introduction of modern technologies, support for small and medium-sized businesses in the affected regions, the prevention of excessive concentration in livestock farming, increased environmental sustainability, and the development of cooperation. Increasing the share of processing is possible by developing dairy and meat processing facilities at farms and producing products with high added value. At the state level, support is needed through subsidies, preferential lending, compensation programs, and the implementation of targeted programs to restore livestock farming. It is also important to ensure the adaptation of legislation to market conditions and EU requirements for certification, traceability, and animal welfare standards.
Oleksiy KRASNORUTSKYY, Tetiana MARENYCH, Mykola KALCHENKO, Oleh CHUB, Galina PRUSOVA Copyright (c) 2025 Олексій КРАСНОРУЦЬКИЙ, Тетяна МАРЕНИЧ, Микола КАЛЬЧЕНКО, Олег ЧУБ, Галина ПРУСОВА https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/661 Thu, 28 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0300 SOCIAL HOUSING PROVISION FOR THE POPULATION OF UKRAINE IN THE CONTEXT OF MODERN REALITIES https://mdes.khmnu.edu.ua/index.php/mdes/article/view/662
Solving the housing issue is one of the key tasks of the social policies of the governments of the world's leading countries. It is substantiated that the traditional theories of absolute and comparative advantages offered a methodological foundation for studying specialization and the formation of international trade; however, their explanatory capacity is limited under the conditions of globalization and European integration processes. The paper demonstrates that modern theories, particularly M. Porter’s “diamond model” and the factor approaches of Heckscher–Ohlin, enable a comprehensive assessment of competitiveness determinants, considering not only natural resources but also institutional frameworks, technological innovations, human capital, and the clustering of production. Special attention is given to the specifics of dairy cattle farming in Ukraine, which combines comparative advantages (availability of feed resources, land, and labor) with several structural constraints (investment deficit, technological backwardness, and insufficient institutional support). It is argued that strengthening the competitiveness of dairy products is possible through the comprehensive integration of provisions from various theories, including the use of resource-based and factor approaches, the implementation of innovative technologies, the digitalization of production processes, and the creation of agri-food clusters. The practical significance of this study lies in identifying methodological principles for developing a strategy that enhances the competitiveness of Ukraine’s dairy cattle sector in European and global markets.
