Abstract

This article provides an in-depth analysis of the dairy industry in Ukraine, which is one of the key sectors of the country's food industry. The study examines the current state of dairy processing enterprises, highlighting the main trends in their development and identifying both the challenges and opportunities that influence their further growth. The article also explores the global economic, environmental, and technological factors that shape the industry's transformation and necessitate structural changes.
Drawing upon research conducted by both domestic and international scholars, the article identifies the critical issues that hinder the effective functioning of the Ukrainian dairy industry. Among these challenges are outdated production technologies, insufficient investment in modernization, fluctuations in raw material supply, and increasing competition from imported dairy products. The study also considers the role of government policies, regulatory frameworks, and international trade agreements in shaping the industry's development trajectory.
Particular attention is paid to market expansion strategies, investment opportunities, and the adoption of innovative technologies in milk processing, including automation, digitalization, and sustainable production practices. Additionally, the article discusses the importance of improving product quality standards to meet both domestic and international consumer demands, as well as the growing emphasis on environmentally friendly and organic dairy products.
The analysis demonstrates that in order to enhance competitiveness and ensure long-term sustainability, Ukrainian dairy enterprises must actively adapt to market trends, embrace technological advancements, and implement effective business strategies. The practical significance of the article lies in offering valuable recommendations for industry stakeholders, including policymakers, investors, and business leaders, on how to strengthen their market position, overcome current threats, and foster sustainable growth in the dairy sector.
