Abstract

The focus of the study is on issues of managing the competitiveness of business entities. It is shown that competitiveness is a leading characteristic of the ability of a business entity to sustainably function and survive in conditions of instability and uncertainty. Therefore, this process must be strategically and tactically verified, managed, and therefore subject to careful management. It is argued that competitiveness is an integral generalizing complex characteristic, however, the process of its formation begins at the micro level, with each specific internal, and further external, business process. It is shown that the informational and analytical base required for this has its significant and integral place in the policy of competitiveness management. In other words, this is business statistics, which is a set of indicators, criteria and their indicators, methodical approaches to assessment and diagnosis, as well as making management decisions. Based on these principles, the purpose of the research is to justify the system set of business statistics indicators for analyzing and ensuring the competitiveness of the economic entity. A system of business statistics indicators for analyzing and diagnosing the state of the company's competitiveness has been developed. The imperatives and basic provisions for strengthening the competitive positions of economic entities have been determined.The system of indicators of business statistics for the management of the competitiveness of an economic entity is presented in the form of two blocks: (1) internal (components - financial, intellectual-personnel, material-technical and technical-technological, innovative-technological) and (2) external (components – market, marketing, logistics and sales, interface). According to the specified blocks, a system of criteria and indicator indicators for analyzing the state of competitiveness of a business entity is defined.

The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the further development of methodical approaches to analyzing the state and level of competitiveness of economic entities.
