Abstract

Research Objective of the study is to analyse the dynamics of publications and scientific interest in the topic of economic crimes during war using bibliometric analysis. The research examines how corruption and financial fraud spread in the context of military conflicts and their impact on the economy and post-war recovery processes. The study utilizes bibliometric analysis based on a query in the scientific publication database (Scopus) using keywords related to economic crimes, corruption, and military conflicts. Data analysis was conducted using Biblioshiny software, which allowed for identifying publication dynamics, the average number of citations, the most influential journals and authors, as well as international collaboration in this field. Research Results showed a significant increase in scientific interest in economic crimes during war after the 1990s, with a peak in publications between 2020 and 2024. The analysis revealed that most articles are written by individual authors or small groups, with only 10% involving international collaboration. The most influential journals are Crime Law and Social Change, Third World Quarterly, and Review of African Political Economy. The decline in citations after 2020 may be due to newer publications not yet accumulating enough citations. Scientific Novelty lies in the bibliometric analysis of academic publications on the topic of economic crimes during war, which helped to systematize existing research and identify gaps in the literature. Practical Significance of the study is in the potential use of the obtained data to develop effective strategies for combating corruption and economic crimes during and after military conflicts. The analysis helps governments, international organizations, and the scientific community understand key issues related to financial fraud and money laundering, contributing to the stabilization of economies in post-conflict countries.
