Abstract

The article focuses on the issues of effective functioning and development of agricultural enterprises. The theoretical-methodical and methodical-applied foundations of the development of agricultural enterprises on the basis of the project approach, when the development consists of the implementation of separate strategically and tactically verified projects in various fields and in various functional directions of the development of the business unit, have gained further development. The purpose of the study is to further develop the conceptual and applied principles of project management at agricultural enterprises. The provisions of the basic methodological tools of project management in general and in the field of agricultural business in particular are defined and outlined. The leading provisions of project management at agricultural enterprises are characterized, in particular, related to organizational changes, improvement of the control system, introduction of effective mechanisms for the development of production, economic and commercial and sales activities of the enterprise. It is shown that new projects for the development of agricultural enterprises relate to: starting the cultivation of new types of crop production or the production of livestock products; transition to a new type of agricultural business; vertical (when it comes to the transition to the sector of processing and sale of already finished products) or horizontal (when the range of products increases) integration; diversification of activities; investments in fundamentally new types of economic activity, etc. It was concluded that new projects of agricultural enterprises are closely related to the investment of financial and economic resources in them, therefore, they should be planned on the basis of a systematic approach, according to which a strategy for the implementation of the enterprise project is developed with such key functional blocks as (1) financial and economic goals , (2) financial, economic and production variables, (3) decisions in the field of marketing, (4) expectations of market subjects regarding the project of an agricultural enterprise, (5) marketing tasks.
