INDUSTRY ENGINEERING EFFICIENCY AS A FUNCTION OF INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL

Abstract

Using the basic definitions of the concepts of engineering and benchmarking, the article focuses on the effectiveness of the industry specifics of their application. Based on the proposals of scientists to consider the main tools for ensuring the sustainable development of enterprises from the standpoint of three components, namely as economic, social and environmental tools, a comprehensive assessment of the level of development and determination of the level of reliability and efficiency of the management system is emphasized. It is emphasized that the use of benchmarking by Ukrainian enterprises is extremely useful. Benchmarking can be classified using such parameters as: complexity of tasks; orientation; the level at which benchmarking is planned. The classification of benchmarking objects is also considered. It is emphasized that the presence of interaction mechanism between the levels of enterprise management increases managerial efficiency. As an example of the added value generation for the company "Operator of the gas transportation system of Ukraine" thanks to the application of total engineering in the industry, a change in the organizational structure, bringing the state of fixed assets to a halving of the physical wear rate, increasing labor costs with a decrease in the average annual number of employees is given. A brief description of the gas transportation company and its innovative engineering activities in the crisis period is provided. The interaction of the company´s personnel with its management during the forced implementation of the company´s engineering is emphasized. A condition for the assessment of branch engineering through the assessment of the company´s personnel quality is proposed: achieving the maximum efficiency of each of the factors. The condition of equating intellectual capital with human capital with other constant factors (market assets; assets related to the human factor; infrastructure assets; intellectual values) was adopted. To evaluate human capital, it is suggested to calculate for a specific person. It was recalled that international companies use a method of evaluating human capital - the Human Capital Report (HR Statement). Taking into account the above, it is proposed to consider that the overall efficiency of engineering is a function of human (intellectual) capital, because it combines the creative application of scientific principles in production processes, forming the scientific, technological and management bases for the development and implementation of investment projects
