Abstract

Transformational processes that have recently been observed in the domestic economy require business entities to adapt accordingly, which is a condition for their survival and effective functioning in today's difficult economic circumstances. It is especially relevant now to establish the balance of assets of an iron ore enterprise, the volume of products produced and the costs of their production and sale and, on this basis, to increase the competitiveness of the products produced. Under these conditions, one of the important points is the balance between the production volumes of the iron ore enterprise and its production potential. That is, in the modern conditions of constant transformations of the world and domestic economy, the realism of long-term planning is especially important for iron ore enterprises, which clearly assesses the needs of the iron ore enterprise and the available production potential, aimed at ensuring the flexible development of the enterprise's management system under the conditions of variability of market space parameters.

In the modern conditions of the instability of the market environment, which is connected with the complex influence of a group of negative factors on the efficiency of functioning, the issue of ensuring the flexibility of the management system of iron ore enterprises in order to adapt their production potential to modern conditions and achieve profitability maximization is of particular importance. The article forms a generalized sequence of phases of the life cycle of iron ore enterprise products for specific periods of its operation in separate sectors of the market space. The separation of promising and non-promising sectors of the market space is substantiated, which makes it possible to adapt the production potential accordingly. A model of profit maximization from the sale of iron ore products on foreign and domestic markets is proposed, which provides an opportunity to take into account changes in the market environment.

The simulation of the optimization of income from the sale of iron ore products of the mining and beneficiation plant on foreign and domestic markets was carried out, which made it possible to determine the criteria for balanced progressive strategic development based on the rational use of resource and production potential.
