Abstract

The article examines various methods and strategies used by states to promote sustainable development in a certain region through a system of state support for innovations, including eco-innovations. The author examines the role of government programs, financial incentives, regulation, and other policy tools aimed at promoting the adoption of environmentally friendly technologies, energy-efficient solutions, and emission reductions. The article also examines the circular strategy and policy of the EU, covering various areas of application: climate change and energy saving, reuse and recycling of plastic, biodiversity conservation, sustainable consumption and use, eco-social innovation, resource-efficient and green economy. The strategic project for the creation (reconstruction) of the "Slovyanskyi" Industrial Park (on the basis of the destroyed soda factory) was analyzed as a cluster initiative within the framework of the state program of renovation and substitution of imports into Ukraine with products of national production and within the framework of the industrial development program 2020-2027. The dynamics were analyzed expenses for environmental protection by types and directions of expenses for environmental protection measures in 2020 and the structure of capital investments for environmental protection of Ukraine. Modern methods of assessing the state of the environment from the consequences of the military Russian invasion of the territory of the country are considered, in particular, with regard to air quality and the level of radiation pollution throughout Ukraine and understanding the current facts of environmental threats. The need for state stimulation of eco-innovative development of the regions of Ukraine has been proven.
