Abstract

The article discusses the topical issue of eco-innovations and their implementation based on the project approach. The main aspects of financing the ecological recovery of the country's economy have been studied. The author draws attention to modern trends in the development of the ecological innovation space, using the criteria for evaluating eco-innovations and the eco-innovation index of the countries of the European Union (EU). The article provides a detailed description of the indicators used to evaluate the eco-innovation index, such as the expenditure on research and development in the field of ecology, the number of received patents in the field of ecology, the volume of energy production from renewable sources, other important aspects of sustainable development, etc. Additionally, the article analyzes the ratio of revenues to expenditures of the environmental tax in Ukraine, pointing out its important role in financing environmental projects and initiatives. The dynamics of the share of environmental taxation in the tax structure of Ukraine is studied and compared with the indicators of EU countries. The author emphasizes the importance of taking into account the experience of EU countries in the implementation of environmentally-oriented tax policies in order to achieve positive results in the field of environmental reengineering, emphasize the need to promote innovative approaches in the project field in order to create a sustainable environment and reduce the impact of projects on the environment.

Overall, the article contributes to the understanding and consideration of environmental aspects in project management, creating a basis for practical recommendations for improving environmental sustainability and innovation in projects. The study can serve as a valuable source of information for organizations interested in the effective implementation of environmental reengineering in project activities and improvement of the environmental condition of the respective regions.
