Abstract

An essential stage of the transition to the inclusive development of the national economy is identifying problems that inhibit transformational transformations. That is why assessing the level of sustainable, inclusive development of Ukraine helps to identify the current problems associated with a full-fledged transition. There is no official definition or defining organization to reflect the level of sustainable inclusive development in a particular country. The concept of sustainable development and the indices that measure it are the subject of many scientific and research works. Different universities, research centers, and non-profit organizations can develop sustainability indices, considering different factors and measurement techniques. The purpose of the article is to assess the level of sustainable inclusive development in Ukraine. It has been studied that the Sustainable Development Index and the Inclusive Development Index are determined to assess sustainable inclusive development at the global level. Based on the analysis of the dynamics of Ukraine's rating according to these indices, it is proved that there is inevitable, but not significant, progress, which requires further efforts to strengthen the country's sustainable development and achieve more significant improvements in economic, social, and environmental dimensions. It was determined that hostilities have a long-term negative impact on economic development, especially on the poorest sections of the population. The outflow of young people from Ukraine and the high deviations in the population's welfare have been identified as threatening to the national economy. It has been studied that the education system in Ukraine shows inclusive growth with a high level of opportunities, and the indicators of the health care system and assistance to the unemployed reflect social protection. Development priorities include improving professional training, reducing the administrative burden for businesses, expanding financing for entrepreneurs, and fighting corruption. Developing an inclusive economy based on inclusive business models aimed at ensuring social cohesion is defined as part of the overall national strategy.
