THE EFFECT OF DIGITALIZATION OF THE TOURIST INFRASTRUCTURE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONAL TOURISM

Abstract

Scientific and technical progress determines the direction of socio-economic development. The service sector is actively implementing innovative solutions related to digital technologies. The development of telecommunication networks and information technologies has fundamentally changed the activities of enterprises in the field of tourism and hospitality: the main processes have become automated and can be controlled remotely, data volumes are stored in digital form, the time for processing requests and performing operations is minimized. The issue of innovative development is relevant for every organization, as great competition in this field forces participants of the tourism market to find, develop and introduce digital solutions in their activities. Information technologies in this area play an important role, as they can fundamentally change the methodical, informational and technological components of management, production and marketing processes and perform them at a higher, more effective level. Existing digital solutions are aimed at 1) researching consumer demand and individualizing service, focusing on impressions as an important effect that ensures tourist loyalty to a certain enterprise or brand; 2) change of service technologies; 3) formation of new types of services or products. The article is devoted to the implementation of digital technologies in the field of tourism, which is caused by the growing needs of people for the comfort and safety of service, the speed of obtaining the necessary services and information. The further development of technologies will relieve tourists of worries during their vacation and will allow them to fully immerse themselves in the trip. The world is changing, and using smart gadgets or special software applications means the opportunity to enjoy the comfort provided by innovations and up-to-date services.
