Актуалізовано увагу до проблематики формування й реалізації публічної політики реформування й розвитку сфери охорони здоров’я в Україні. Метою дослідження визначено обґрунтування напрямів та засобів модернізації публічної політики розвитку сфери охорони здоров’я в Україні. Вказано на позитивні зміни і зрушення, які відбулися та відбуваються у вітчизняній сфері охорони здоров’я під час її реформування. При тому, узагальнено й ключові проблемні аспекти функціонування та розвитку системи охорони здоров’я в Україні, які все ще збереглися та перешкоджають її подальшому поступу. Визначено та обґрунтовано засоби більш якісної публічної політики розвитку сфери охорони здоров’я в Україні, які спрямовані на усунення визначених системних перешкод, та мають реалізуватися за наступними напрямами реформування: інституційно-правовий, просторово-структурний, квалітативний, професійно-структурний, превентивний, інтелектуально-кадровий, техніко-технологічний, секторально-структурний.
