SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY MANAGEMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

The article is devoted to the consideration of the issue of social responsibility of universities. The main directions of social responsibility of higher education institutions are determined. The need for systematic scientific research and the implementation of new approaches to managing social responsibility of universities was identified. The evolution of the main concepts of social responsibility is studied in the context of key communiqués of conferences of ministries of education of European countries. The provisions of the Prague Communiqué, Berlin, London, Yerevan, Rome and other communiqués are considered. The key thesis of all the provisions of the communiqué is equal access for all citizens to higher education, as well as strengthening the role of universities in the cultural, social and technological development of any society, open student mobility, creation of individual student trajectories, increasing opportunities for graduates' employment and knowledge transfer and strengthening the development of regions. It is found that an important stage in the development of social responsibility was the adoption of the international ISO 26000 Standard on social responsibility, which clearly outlines the general concept of social responsibility for organizations and institutions of various forms and types. The essence of the social responsibility of universities is determined, which consists in creating value in the form of knowledge and its dissemination in society in order to create public good. The article highlights the change in the vector of social responsibility management of domestic higher education institutions under martial law. The importance of the role of social responsibility in the post-war reconstruction of the country is substantiated.
